Joseph S. Tompai founded Light & Line Productions in 1979. Joe is a 1971 graduate of Seneca College, in Toronto. He attended Ryerson Polytechnic Institute to study subtractive colour printing and product photography. Joe worked for the Toronto Board of Education from 1972 to 1975 as an audio & video technician and was with the Ontario College of Art as a technical teaching assistant in video for one year. In 1971 Joe was hired as a product, portrait, industrial photographer and colour technician for Schuler Photography in Collingwood Ontario.
In 1980 Light & Line Inc. was an incorporated company in Ontario, operating from 654 Adelaide St. Toronto.
In 1988 and 1989 Joe Tompai was awarded The Annual Photo Craft Award by the Association of Multi-Media along with several Silver and Gold awards for Multi-Media Shows.
1989 marked Light & Line Productions Inc. relocation to Vancouver, BC. where business has been conducted in the Vancouver area under the name of Light & Line Productions a proprietorship business owned by Joseph S. Tompai, current address 390 Bayview Place, Lions Bat, BC, V0N 2E0. The Light & Line studio was located at 611 Adelaide St. E.in the Alexander Centre with Vision Presentations Inc..
